T-Mobile Austria briefly reveals nextgen 32GB iPhone
[24-05-2009]
T-Mobile Austria, Apple's Austrian mobile partner, appears to have inadvertently leaked the next generation specs for an iPhone update widely anticipated for a summer launch.
Details briefly appeared on T-Mobile Austria’s 'Coming Soon' Web site section, suggesting a 32GB iPhone, double the current 16GB capacity, would be available shortly.
Fone Arena grabbed the placeholder image before it was pulled. No details were provided, other than that the iPhone would be offered at zero cost with a contract.
Two years ago, T-Mobile Germany accidentally let slip details of plans to sell the iPhone, which some observers suggest proves this latest blunder may be more fact than fiction.
A new iPhone has long been rumoured, and a 32GB model along with a range of new features and enhancements, should tempt new users and those looking to upgrade into buying the latest model.
Meanwhile Apple enthusiast blog MacTalk reports that Vodafone Australia has sent out an email to retail staff stating that the 16GB iPhone has been marked as "End of Life" by Brightpoint Australia, a international distributor for retailers and independent dealers, which also suggests a new iPhone will be with us sooner than later.
