New iPhone Solutions Enable Mobile Network Operators to Provide Branded Services for iPhone Customers

Critical Path, Inc, a leading provider of messaging software and services, today announced the availability of its iPhone solutions - native client applications for the iPhone that provide immediate value by extending portal services to the device.

The iPhone represents an important strategic opportunity for its franchisees. Operators benefit from lower customer acquisition costs through the free publicity generated by the iPhone product launch, access to high value customers and premium-charge device and data plans. In addition, there is a new opportunity for operators to extend relationships with their iPhone customers by providing access to their mobile services through branded applications available on the App Store.

With this in mind, Critical Path developed iPhone solutions to enable operators to maintain customer mindshare and define a presence on the iPhone, thereby enabling franchisees to more fully take advantage of the rewards the iPhone offers. The solution was developed at the Critical Path iPhone Competence Center. Based in Turin, Italy, the Center was established in 2007 to develop new applications for advanced mobile device platforms like the iPhone and Android.
